UPN Using 'Top Model' as Springboard for New Shows UPN knows it has a good thing in "America's Next Top Model," and it thinks it has more of the same in new dramas "Veronica Mars" and "Kevin Hill."Therefore, the network is planning to use "Top Model" to launch both shows when it opens its 2004-05 season in September.Most of UPN's schedule will debut the week of Sept. 20, the date that Nielsen designates as the official start of the season. "Veronica Mars" will debut following "Top Model" on Wednesday, Sept. 22 before moving to its regular Tuesday home the following week. "Kevin Hill" is set to open Wednesday, Sept. 29.UPN is holding back a couple of weeks on "Star Trek: Enterprise," which is moving to Fridays as the network tries to establish a ratings base there. It's scheduled to begin its fourth season Oct. 8.
